Case study: SafetyWing
24 bootcamp signups from one email, about $6 each.
We found people who look like SafetyWing customers, sent 2,304 of them a single email each, and 24 signed up for the bootcamp.
The client
A free bootcamp that needed signups.
SafetyWing sells insurance for remote workers and digital nomads. They ran a free live bootcamp called "Design a life with more freedom and less tax" and needed people to sign up.
What we did
Four steps. One email.
Pick the audience
We looked for people who already look like SafetyWing customers. People engaging with remote work posts on LinkedIn, and people following accounts that remote workers and nomads follow on Instagram.
Build the list
We collected the people commenting on and reacting to those LinkedIn posts, and the followers of those Instagram accounts. 14,563 people in total.
Find real emails
We found and checked emails in Clay. 2,304 people had a valid email. Everyone else was dropped.
Send one email
One email per person through Instantly. No follow-ups. The campaign went live on Oct 8, 2026.
From audience to signup
Results
16 signups the next day.
The email went out on Oct 8, 2026. 16 of the 24 signups came in the next day. 68 people opened the signup form and 24 of them signed up.
What it cost
About $6 per signup.
The data for the whole campaign cost about $133. That's collecting the audience in Apify and finding and checking emails in Clay. Split across 24 signups, it comes to about $6 each.
Instantly and the sending inboxes aren't counted, because we share them across all our campaigns. Our fee isn't counted either.
